On Wednesday, October 25th, from 6 – 8 pm, the Valley Center/Pauma Unified School District will be hosting a community-wide event at the Maxine Theater, with support from North County Mental Health, the Sheriff’s Department, the D.E.A., and the F.B.I., for the purpose of addressing and discussing the growing problem of prescription drug abuse/addiction.
A light dinner will be provided, followed by a film from the F.B.I., and then discussion of the path from prescription drugs to addiction will follow. Numerous community-support organizations will be available with information to distribute to families.
Please bring any unused/expired prescription drugs that you have at home as proper disposal will be available, and prizes will be provided for participation.
