NAPLES — The Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Ontario County is hosting its next “community café” from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Naples Library, 118 South Main St.,
The coalition is an initiative of the Canandaigua-based Partnership for Ontario County. Coalition representatives will be available to answer questions about the organization and issues related to substance abuse.
The goal of the event is to give community members a chance to discuss concerns about substance abuse in their neighborhoods and explore possible solutions. This session will focus on employability after a drug felony, followed by open discussion.
Law enforcement representatives will facilitate the discussion. Coalition members will also discuss strategies to prevent heroin and prescription drug abuse.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information about the coalition, see substanceabusepreventioncoalitionofontariocounty.com, call (585) 394-4554 or email Petrea Rae, coalition coordinator, at email@example.com.
